I can't believe it is less than two weeks until takeoff. This trip was booked over 7 months ago, after the usual loads of research done by me and endured by SS. He had a month of me grabbing him when he walked in the door, being dragged to the PC, and various very similar boats being shown to him with me asking intently "what about this one" and "what about this one". I have learned since just to get a budget from him, research, explain to him that the budget is unrealistic, get a revised budget, book it, and just tell him where to turn up. That way we are all happy.
So... the trip. We will be having a few days in South Beach Miami, followed by an overnight in Quito, then 8 days on the Sagitta, two nights one day in Quito, then back home. I am ashamed to admit before booking this trip that I did not even know that the Galapagos Islands were part of Ecuador. But there you go.
I have attached below the link to the website which has some photos of the Sagitta, as well as a layout plan. We are apparently booked into Cabin 3 (much research again as I wanted main deck, not too near the engines or near the stairs to minimise the rocking motion on the overnight trips between islands. The itinerary is also there...
