Breakfast was literally as soon as we got back, and was a bit slapdash – the barbed comments about the brown bread came out, there was no fruit, hot food was pancakes. Then there was a big rush to pack and shower. I only just managed to get organised, but SS was again chafing against authority. I was trying to hurry him, as the bags had to go first to the docks on
We found out quickly that this was because the Sagitta was the first of the boats to refuel
The other boats disgorged their passengers on to the dock, so by the time our bus arrived there were about 50 people standing on the docks. Luckily we were on the superior boat, so everyone else was told to wait as the Sagitta muscled through.
We go to the airport, reunited with our bags, then waited patiently for our flight to be called. Once it was, we went through and went to the Royal Palm Lounge (very nice compared to the rest of the airport which is basic and functional rather than charming). Again, Sagitta has its privileges!
Then it was back off to Quito!
